Requirement:
The City Clerks Association of California approached Shark Studios to design a website that would provide up-to-date information about their organization to their hundreds of statewide members.  The site needed to be a source of information for the unique needs of City Clerks, including a way to communicate online with other City Clerks about issues related to the profession of City Clerk.

Solutions:

The CCAC website provides current news, membership information, newsletters and other information related to the profession of City Clerk.  Web 2.0 enhancements made including links to social networking applications like Facebook, Twitter, as well as RSS Feeds.  The site also generates revenue through online advertising. A Content Management System was implemented to allow non-technical chamber staff to easily update the site on their own with no technical training.  Text can be added or changed, pictures or files uploaded, or new pages added to the site with a few clicks of the mouse.  An opt-in mailing list was created for monthly notifications or other special announcements.  Feedback forms were created as well as an online member Directory to locate other City Clerks.

Results:
The final result is a site that allows City Clerks to find out more about their profession and better communicate with other members.  Online mailing lists and online advertising revenues have saved the organization money over the past few years and the site is continuing to experience increased foot traffic due to their high profile on the web.
